Pro-abortion comedian Sarah Silverman revealed in a new interview that she was recently fired from a movie for a resurfaced picture of her wearing blackface, and that while she “didn’t fight” the firing, she can’t help but be “terrified” by the left’s embrace of cancel culture.
“They hired someone else who is wonderful but who has never stuck their neck out,” Ms. Silverman said, The Hollywood Reporter reported. “It was so disheartening. It just made me real, real sad, because I really kind of devoted my life to making it right.”
This fear of being terminated from a job for doing stupid stuff comes from the same person who advocates for the wholesale termination of innocent babies in the womb. At a fundraiser to protest a pro-life law in February, Silverman commented, “if anything has ever made me want to eat an aborted fetus, it’s this law.” The law in question, legislated in Oklahoma, was created in response to a claim that a food lab was considering using stem cells to create artificial flavors.
But it’s scary when an employer doesn’t want you working for him because you did something stupid before?
“I think it’s really scary, and it’s a very odd thing that it’s invaded the left primarily, and then the right will mimic it,” the comedian responded. “I call it righteousness porn, where it’s like, if you’re not on board, if you say the wrong thing, if you had a tweet once … everyone is, like, throwing the first stone. It’s so odd. It’s a perversion,” Silverman added.
