If there was any doubt of Hillary Clinton’s disdain for the Catholic Church, recent revelations brought to us from Wikileaks should summarily dismiss it. Hillary’s campaign director is Catholic John Podesta, who helped start Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good, which aims at, “Promoting Pope Francis’s politics of inclusion throughout the United States.” This may make Hillary seem pro-Catholic, especially next to her Catholic running mate selection, Tim Kaine.

But Wikileaks has shown us that, while these people may profess to be Catholic, their aim is to undermine the Church and even create a revolution.

An email to Podesta from Voices for Progress founder Sandy Newman calls for a “Catholic Spring” a la the Arab Spring revolution, in which Catholics, “demand the end of a middle ages dictatorship . . . ” with regard to contraception and gender equality.

Podesta, whose family members dabble in the occult, replied that, “We created Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good to organize for a moment like this.”

In another email exchange with John Halpin and Jennifer Palmieri, the trio ridicule media mogul Rupert Murdoch and Wall Street Journal Managing Editor Robert Thompson for raising their kids Catholic.

Halpin wrote, “They must be attracted to the systematic thought and severely backwards gender relations and must be totally unaware of Christian democracy.”

Calls have been made for the resignation of Jennifer Palmieri for her part in calling Catholics “severely backwards” and charging that they don’t know “what the hell they’re talking about.”

This follows a thread from Clinton herself expressing dismay that they “are still fighting this battle” over contraception. In it Neera Tanden likens the Church to misogynists.

Hillary’s team is made up of many Catholics, but it appears they want to change the Church, not support her. As for The Libertarian Catholic, we’re with the real Her—the Church. Here’s an excellent summation of the Church’s stance on contraception, which will outlast the likes of Podesta and Hillary Clinton.
